Thomas C. McDermott, Jr.

Thomas C. McDermott, Jr. is a 3rd generation lifelong member of Millburn-Short Hills. He graduated, in 1978, from Lynchburg College, Va. earning a B.S. Degree in Political Science/History. He continued his graduate studies in Finance at both The University of New Haven and Yale University. Mr. McDermott became actively involved in municipal government when he was elected to the Millburn Township Committee in 1995. He served as Deputy Mayor from 1997-2000 and again in 2009. From 2000-2005, and again in 2010, Mr. McDermott was elected Mayor of Millburn Township. Currently, he is serving as a Township Committee member. Tom McDermott has made numerous national television appearances on: CNN Newsnight, CBS Evening News, and ABC News. He is Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Midland Steel Corporation, Bronx, N.Y, and resides in Millburn- Short Hills Township with his wife Ann, and two daughters.
